E-um learning in e-society [Elektronski vir]

The E-um system is an innovative new approach to learning for the E-society generation. E-um has been an extensive research and practical project with its main goal of producing a comprehensive ...E-learning material for primary and high school mathematics education (6-18 years of age). The system has been developed in close collaboration between experts in math education and computer science. It offers a new way to learn and teach mathematics, which is based on creative pedagogical aproaches and backed by the sophistication of modern technology. Interactive tools, developed on the open source systems, serve to deepen the mathematical knowledge and to maintain the motivation for learning. The system has been based on the premises of simplicity and teacher's engagement as an adequate technical framework was provided for the teachers themselves to become the creators of e-materials. The project has been a comprehensive portfolio of quality human resources management, leading edge technology use and profound insight into didactical and subject knowledge on the field of mathematics.
