Control of the extent of conversion of benzyl chloride groups ... leaves residual accessible functionality for subsequent immobilisation of 4-(N-methylamino)pyridine, giving a highly efficient nucleophilic catalyst that outperforms both un-hypercrosslinked versions and hypercrosslinked polymer beads.
