Istrska belica [Elektronski vir] : ohranjanje, vrednotenje, karakterizacija in zbiranje genskih virov oljkVesel, Viljanka ...V slovenskih oljčnih nasadih je ˈIstrska belicaˈ najbolj zastopana sorta. K nagli širitvi v istrske oljčnike po pozebi leta 1956 so pripomogle njene številne pozitivne lastnosti. Dobro prenaša nizke ... temperature. Plodovi so srednje debeli in so ob obiranju običajno svetlo zelene barve. Listi so spiralasto zaviti. Zaradi pokončne, metlaste, zaprte in bujne rasti je oblikovanje krošnje zahtevno. Sorta nekoliko pozno stopi v rodnost, vendar so izkušnje nekaterih pridelovalcev pokazale, da drevesa hitreje vstopijo v rodnost, če jih nekaj let po sajenju ne obrezujemo. V skrbno obdelanih nasadih dobro in redno rodi. Plodovi dozorevajo pozno. Namenjena je predvsem pridelavi olja, saj je njena oljevitost visoka.
