Sorta ˈDrobnicaˈ je bila dobro zastopana v Slovenski Istri do pozebe leta 1956. Po pozebi jo je nadomestila sorta ˈIstrska belicaˈ. Za sorto ˈDrobnicaˈ je bila ugotovljena znotrajsortna raznolikost, ...saj so bili odkriti štirje različni genotipi. Drevo je srednje bujno in pokončne rasti. Za sorto so značilni kratki, ozki in drobni listi. Za dobro oploditev potrebuje opraševalne sorte, ki trenutno še niso znane. Plodovi neenakomerno dozorevajo. Olje vsebuje srednje veliko biofenolov in tokoferolov. Sorta je malo občutljiva na oljčno muho in nizke temperature, občutljiva pa je na pavje oko in oljčnega molja.
