Asklepijevo svetišče v Epidavru : diplomsko delo

Diplomsko delo obravnava Asklepijevo svetišče v Epidavru, njegovo zgodovino, razvoj, pomen in delovanje. Predstavljena sta Asklepijev mit in vloga Epidavra v kontekstu mita. Poseben poudarek je na ...samem svetišču. Podrobneje so obravnavane nekatere stavbe in njihove funkcije, zlasti Asklepijev tempelj, tolos, abaton in gledališče. Izpostavljena je tudi rimska obnova svetišča, ki se je izvajala v 2. stoletju, in njen doprinos k razvoju svetišča in Asklepijevega kulta. Delo se posveča tudi Asklepijevemu kultu, verskim praksam in ritualom, pri čemer je posebej izpostavljena praksa inkubacije kot način zdravljenja. Večji del naloge temelji na Pavzanijevem opisu svetišča iz Vodiča po Grčiji, o praksi inkubacije v Asklepijevih svetiščih pa pričajo predvsem napisi na dveh ohranjenih stelah v epidavrskem svetišču.
