Zbirka družine Herberstein vpisana na Unescovo nacionalno listo Spomin sveta [Elektronski vir] : Herbersteiniana izhaja iz 16. stoletja : Bogata domoznanska zbirka Žige Herbersteina je bila z drugimi devetimi enotami slovenske dokumentarne dediščine vpisana na Unescovo nacionalno listo Spomin svetaSkok, Petra, 1982- ...Osem fizičnih kosov in 17 naslovov. Herbersteiniana je v slovenskem in evropskem merilu najobsežnejša zbirka del Žige Herbersteina. V zbirki najdemo denimo rokopis, morda celo Herbersteinov, ta po ... letnicah zaobjame njegovo življenje in delo, in tudi dragoceno delo Moskovski zapiski, v katerih predstavi tedaj Evropejcem še neznano deželo Rusijo. Zbirka Herbersteiniana sicer obsega dela Žige Herbersteina in rokopisno ter tiskano gradivo o rodbini Herberstein. Najznamenitejši član te rodbine je Žiga (Sigmund) baron Herberstein (1486−1566), vojak, humanist in eden najslavnejših diplomatov 16. stoletja. Vpis tovrstnega gradiva v Unescov register nacionalne liste Spomin sveta je za knjižnico izjemno veliko priznanje. V Sloveniji smo prvi vpis na nacionalno listo dobili leta 2022.
