Les critères de (non-)maintien du néologisme par déreivation dans l'œvre de Louis-Sébastien Mercier

La créativité lexicale de Louis-Sébastien Mercier est remarquable par sa grande variété et son souci de révolutionner la langue française. Pour analyser quelques critères de (non-)maintien du ...néologisme, nous avons choisi une création morphologique et sémantique qui aurait pu, selon nous, sʼimposer dans la langue. Il nous a paru en effet intéressant de comprendre ce qui a motivé le choix du néologisme frivoliste, mais aussi dʼobserver les régles suivies par Mercier. Nous nous demanderons également si lʼapplication des principes nécessaires à toute nouvelle création suffit à légitimer lʼusage dʼun néologisme et pourquoi ce mot nʼa été ni propagé par son auteur, ni repris par lʼusage établi.
