    The Institute of pension and disability insurance of Slovenia estimated in 1989 that the work of disability committees in Slovenia should be reorganized. The article presents the basic professional ... starting points concerning the functioning and organization of the disability committees in Slovenia. The disability comittee procedure of estimating working capacity is described and a proposal is made for the changes as to contents and organization of expert work of the disability committees in Slovenia, the formation of the disability committees Centre, tha staff of disability committees, the financing of the centre. It should be necessary to engage the attending physiician, the industrial medical service, the specialist service, the centres for vocational training and rehabilitation, and the employers.
