    The article describes the fitting of individual suspension of front axle type McPearson RLE-66 manufactured by ZF, on to the chassis of the high-decker tourist coach B3 120 TH 12 m long and of a ... total weigh of 18000 kg. The article deals with the development activity in a one-year period, from the selection of suspension type, construction of tubular frame in the area of front axle, construction of suspension bracket, selection of material, permissible strains and loads, to the elaboration and calculation of boundary conditions necessary for the anlysis of strains of fitting parts. The numerical method (FEM) and measirements are used to find the optimal solution in terms of strength. A special chapter deals with the activities following the FEM analysis and measurements for determining the strains in brackets on bus prototype B3 120 TH, correction of bracket design and correction of the used sheet steel.
